Compa Cycle
The BNCC (Common National Curriculum Base) established what we already knew, the contents do not compete with the integral development of children and adolescents. On the contrary, they are an essential part of school curricula. The great challenge it imposes is the diversification of the offer and approach of these contents, in such a way that it links everything that is done at school to practical, real, day-to-day life.
In tune with the new times and, consequently, with the challenges they impose, COMPA has completely restructured High School, establishing, in the Curriculum Matrix, the COMPA Cycle and the Formative Itineraries, namely:
- COMPA Cycle
Common Core – components that are basic for all Brazilian students, such as Portuguese Language, Mathematics etc.
Formative Itineraries
Specific Components, anchored in four large areas. Economy & Business, Art, Text and Creativity, Life and Environment. Students choose two itineraries per semester.
Elective Components – they are regular courses, that is, itineraries that are different from the specific ones that the students have chosen, precisely so that they can have other experiences and build their path. Places are limited, so they will be distributed in the order of registration.
This is how COMPA seeks to consolidate the humanist-Christian way of teaching, encouraging young people to build their own path, in order to enhance their best version.
And either and entrance exams
COMPA High School combines the consolidation of the students' Life Project with their professional expectations, therefore, over the three years, in addition to the Training Itineraries and Elective Components, it proposes activities that develop specific skills and abilities for different fields of professional performance.
Duties and Monitoring
The COVID-19 pandemic period impacted the organization of schools and the learning pace of children and young people. In line with this reality, COMPA has frequently mapped the points of greatest difficulty regarding the content and skills of students. This mapping is a fundamental tool for pedagogical planning. Based on these data, we implemented two programs, Duty and Monitoring, which will aim to recalculate learning routes from 2022 onwards.
COMPA in DEBATE
Proposal for integration between the groups, to survey and discuss matters of importance to society. The activity expands the socio-historical repertoire and develops the construction of consistent arguments on different themes, in addition to developing orality, critical thinking and alterity.
Simulated - ENEM / Vestibular
Are many simulated (ENEM, FUVEST, UNICAMP etc.), in-person and remote, during the year, prepared by our educators and the Education System. The purpose of the simulations is to make students understand the competitive moments they will face during and after the end of the course, occasions in which the ability to answer more questions in less time will be a requirement.
Professions Forum
We prepare our young people to make their choices. Throughout high school, we give lectures on different professions and current topics. In addition, starting in 2022, we will hold the Professions Forum, an opportunity in which students will have direct contact with professors from various universities and professionals from different areas of expertise.
SINU - United Nations Simulation
The COMPA New High School students simulate meetings of the United Nations, which propose a space for discussion in International Organizations and, mainly, in the Committees of the United Nations System (UN). It is an initiative that transcends the pragmatism of college entrance exams, very present in the student context, as it aims at changing behavior in the context of the diverse and plural society in which we live.
Professional orientation
O Professional Guidance Program– POP enriches our commitment to training and informing our students. The Professional guidance developed during High School promotes a process of self-knowledge and knowledge of the market and professions, which aims to facilitate future career options. Therefore, we propose activities that help students to make choices, discussing the professional paths of a world in continuous transformation.
